From Emerald:
Head west along the Capricorn Highway for 42kms (towards Longreach)
You will see signs to Turn Right off the Capricorn Highway towards Rubyvale and Sapphire.
Travel 16 kms (you will go through Sapphire and go past the Rubyvale Town centre turnoff)
Turn left into Heritage Rd on the northern side of Rubyvale.
We are 350m along on the left. (The road continues past us to Miners Heritage.)
From Capella/ Clermont:
Before reaching the town of Rubyvale turn right into Heritage Rd.

The Sapphire Gemfields are located in Central Queensland.
They take in 4 small towns: Anakie, Rubyvale, Sapphire, and the Willows.
The Sapphire Gemfields covers 900 square klms and are one of the most significant Sapphire bearing areas in the world. (And you can keep what you find).
The townships of Rubyvale and Sapphire (only 6 klms between the towns) are the two main commercial centres of the Sapphire Gemfields.
Rubyvale has a hotel, general store, fuel, Sapphire shops, gem galleries, post office & cafés.
